Very clean 1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR-4. 3.0 L 24 valve DOHC twin turbo V6. Equipped with all wheel drive and all wheel steering. Electronically controlled suspension to choose between sport and touring mode. Has active aero that functions (rear spoiler lifts and front air dam drops at 50mph). Tien lowering springs (1.5” front, 1.3” rear). Manual dual stage boost controller allows user to run up to 15 lbs of boost at the flip of a switch on current fuel set up. Hot wired fuel pump. Open air filter. 3sx stainless Y pipe. Tanabe 3” stainless turbo back exhaust with gutted pre-cats and straight pipe. (OEM exhaust is available and in good condition) AEM boost gauge and air/fuel ratio gauge on a pillar pod. Short shifter with polyurethane bushings. Solid motor mounts. 3sx 2” core radiator. Hertz sound system with 10” subwoofer. Transmission was rebuilt with a new clutch at 100,000 miles. All fluids changed and maintenance performed religiously. There is probably more that has been done that I can’t think of. This was a long term project car for me, but I am making a big move and cannot bring the vehicle with. Barn Find ! 1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT SL with 125,000 miles. Setting in a barn for 17 years. Timing belt is off the cams. Previous owner attempted to time it while changing out the old belt but could not finish the job. Put it in a barn and there it sat. Great body pretty maroon paint. Could be a project car or for parts. Sold as is. Must pick up.

The only problem on the title of an insurance loss was because the top was broken. I'm tired of explaining this and is not worth my time. 1000 cars were made 23 years ago, about 500 are left on the road. there are no spare parts for this car. When something breaks another spyder is cannibalized for the parts. You need to figure out how to repair it. No technician who knows anything about the top to fix it. I was able to "trick" the ECU for a while, until the sensor failed. This is me permanently fixing the top this summer. Did you find any? Occasionally a top ECU shows up, occasionally a rear or quarter window. If you can't buy an ECU for the top, and the top isn't working, what do you think happens to the car? Again, good luck finding such a rare car in such good 100% working condition. You will see a Ferrari on the road before you see one of these cars... All for the price of a used Kia, you could have owned the rarest production car ever made in perfect working order with 80K miles on it. Go buy a car everyone else has. I'm keeping this one

This 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Spyder is one of the rare imports that I absolutely love. I believe there were 514 of the Caracas Red with grey leather interior models made. Also, I believe a little over 1000 were produced total. The twin turbo V6 engine is silky smooth and sounds great. I'm a car dealer, but bought this for my personal collection, so I know how to take care of cars. I'm selling this one because I need room for a new project. For a 23 year old car, it's mechanically in great condition and the Autocheck shows 0 accidents. The top works but sometimes needs a hand to push it, sometimes it does not. I have overhauled the suspension and 2 piece driveshaft. It has never left oil underneath it, which if you know these cars, is rare. As far as I know, the all wheel steering and all wheel drive works as well. Yes, when you shift under heavy load, you get the satisfying "WHOOSH," from the turbos. It has the original spare. For the new buyer, I'd recommend finding a new headliner (which I think you can pull off a normal 3000GT), and changing the exhaust tips. I had the exhaust done and for some reason my guy put these tips on and I was furious. There are no check engine lights or anything of that nature. Even the ECS Sport suspension works, and it better, the new shocks I bought were $300 a piece. Cosmetically, the rear spoiler has peeling clear coat, along with a small spot or two behind the rear glass. There is a small bubble (rust?) spot directly in the middle of the frame of the windshield on the top. I firmly believe the value of these cars is going up, especially when they reach the 25 year mark. Let me know if you have any questions, I have more photos available on request.
